Recent beauty and glam shoot. “Flamingo” was the inspiration, taking the pinks, white and black and running with it. Also included in this shoot was an fx shot, in a previous post. VERY happy with all the looks!
L’incoronazione di Poppea
I recently made my return to the stage by working, once again, with West Edge Opera for their 2013 season opener L’incoronazione di Poppea. Doing the makeup, hair and wigs for this show was certainly a blast. 1960′s styling, gender swapping from…

The Devil Made Me Do It - 2012
Each year I help out with a big Halloween party that a friend of mine throws, called The Devil Made Me Do It. It’s got a 60′s devil babe vibe and is quite the shindig. This year there was a band, dj’s, go-go dancing devil babes and an amazing drag queen…

While breaking down what looks I wanted to create and include in my portfolio, this was one of my first sketches and I’m so happy with how it turned out! I went with a white creme foundation, an assortment of rich, red eyeshadows and finished with a cheap wig that I cut/styled/colored, a quick costume and some fake nails. Of course, a model that knows how to work a camera is ALWAYS the icing on the cake.

“Witch Doctor”
Very simple yet effective character makeup. A bit of 3rd Degree used to create to ridge on the nose and some scarring under the eyes, Ben Nye Creme Colors and Creme Foundation, eyeliner and eyeshadow. Add in the wig and some small accessories like the bone in the nose (ProsAid and a little 3rd Degree to make it look like a piercing) and set! Small amount of Photoshop to enhance the eye color and ready to go.
